For our database we decided to focus on women’s marches, demonstrations, riots  and parades  were most of our sources . To do this we put focus on 4 major cities  Washington DC, Boston, New York and Chicago. These 4 cities were the foundations of women suffrage.  To build our database we set it up in the order of sources, events where they took place, organization who was in charge and finally people in who was more in charge of it. We really wanted to include any event in our cities we assigned each other. We were looking for numbers in the titles such as 10,000 march of gather for example. What we did not include is putting every person mention in each source. There could be multiple women in the source but we highlight the most involved, leaders and those who were mentioned the most and entered them in. We also ignored organizations and people if nothing was mentioned I think normalizing the data we were  going for a more spread out approach rom 1911 -1917 finding different events to use and using newspapers people used a lot. This would mean that this would feel like big time news for these events. What I learned about databases how it is much more organized then Goggle Docs and easy and accessible to use. It is also good how your work saves and you are able to copy and paste your sources without problems. I also learned how databases can be used  in historical ways and how to put numbers to plug in a location, organization or people. All features of databases really could be used for big historical projects addressed to one topic. Databases offer chance for information management  or how you want to use the topic. Databases offer a chance to explain one topic one page before going into details why it is important for your topic. Putting together a 40 page event of women suffrage is hard to do on any other website. Databases allow you organize where you are answering the questioning and why it is important. Databases can help determine which historical projects are the best to look it. The more the information and organization the better the database.
